The UK Private Pilot Licence (PPL) lets you fly light aircraft as pilot in command for non-commercial purposes. The nine exams are multiple choice with type-in and drop-down answers, bookable at most local flying schools or our training offices. You book your own, with our guidance whenever needed.
Each exam has a 75% pass mark and a maximum of four attempts. Pass all nine within 18 months of your first attempt; exceed either limit and every pass is invalidated.
